...by the droves I might add. So many great trucks you would have thought you had gone to the F-100 Heaven in the sky (of course, they do say that Pigeon Forge, TN in the Great Smoky Mountains is God’s country). Everybody who was anybody in the F-100 world was there. Though many had left their trucks at home, and just came to see the show. Those attendees said they would bring their trucks next year, so if you want to join in, you better not wait too late to register or there may not be any room left. By Saturday morning of the show a parking space couldn’t be bought for any price. There was great weather this year and a packed lot full of some of the best F-100’s in the country, which made for a good time of catching up with old friends or making new ones.

There were enough parts available for sale to build several trucks for next year’s show. There was the show’s Corporate Sponsor, Carolina Classics F-100’s, and other vendors including Mid Fifties F-100’s, Carpenter Industries, Hot Rods F-100’s, Rainbow A/C Products, Flashback F-100’s, Vintage Glass, T-Shirt vendor Ellis Graphics, and more. BeBop’s Fiberglass couldn’t be there but Pete made a special effort to come over late Friday night after he closed his shop to deliver some product to the attending vendors. There was also a whole gang of FTE website members who brought their trucks. With the free cookout on Friday evening most folks just sat around talking while the food settled, and were hanging out in the parking lot as late as 2:00 AM. During the day parades of F-100 trucks were captured on tape by long time vendor Video Bob. The town is filled with activities for the whole family. It’s a great place to be anytime, but an even better place to be when there are trucks everywhere. Plan to attend next year and you will be hooked for life. According to the Inside Pigeon Forge website, the 2010 show is scheduled for June 24-27.
